Hospice and palliative care: a human right

What happened on World Hospice and Palliative Care Day 2006?

World Hospice and Palliative Care Day took place on October 7th 2006. 226 events in over 60 countries were registered on the website. These events ranged from nationwide campaigns, for example the Hospice is Life Campaign which involved 85 hospices in Poland to small events by individuals such as the Fruits Day in Nigeria. Have a look at the events that were submitted on the website.

An online poetry anthology by people living with and affected by life threatening illnesses was developed with the support of Rosetta Life (www.rosettalife.org). Read the poems that were submitted on the website.
